Aeterna did not start in a boardroom.
It started with a failure — watching how quickly premium oak memorials cracked and how easily standard pieces deteriorated.
The industry had a quality problem.
We decided to solve it.
Every memorial that leaves this workshop is made personally by one craftsman.
Not a production line. Not a factory. Not a fulfilment centre dispatching pre-made stock.
One person. One workshop in Northamptonshire.
Every piece designed to your specification, proofed with you before manufacture, and built to the same standard every time.
When you commission an Aeterna memorial, you are not placing an order into a system. You are commissioning something made personally for you, by someone who understands what it represents.
Every piece begins with your words.
Your inscription, your layout, your dimensions.
We design it personally and send you a proof before anything is made.
Nothing is cut until it is exactly right.
No templates. No compromise.
If it can rot, we do not use it.
Every Aeterna memorial is made from 18mm Tricoya Extreme — the only material we trust with a 50-year guarantee. Not because it is the cheapest option. Because it is the right one.
Every memorial must stay where it is placed.
Our Security-Link system uses stainless steel pins set in glass resin chemical anchors, bonding the memorial permanently to any stone, brick or masonry surface.
Installed once. Fixed forever.
We use advanced CNC technology for precision machining. But every Aeterna commission is hand-finished and inspected in the workshop before it leaves.
The accuracy of engineering with the standards of a craftsman who cares about what they are making and who they are making it for.
Our 18mm profile is six times thicker than standard imported memorial products.
The difference is visible immediately. Substantial. Architectural. Permanent.
We are acutely aware that most of our customers are commissioning a memorial during or after a period of loss.
Every enquiry is handled with care and discretion. The personal details of your memorial — names, dates, inscriptions — are never shared, never published and never used for any purpose beyond making your piece.
We are not a transactional business. We make things that matter. We treat every commission accordingly.
